Job Summary:

This role is responsible for ensuring the quality of packaged finished products by performing sampling and inspection. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and document the start-up qualifications of multiple lines to ensure they are set up according to defined procedures and specifications.
  • Collect and inspect samples from various lines and jobs as directed by management.
  • Communicate with machine operators and supervisors to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Train and communicate with line personnel on quality standards and procedures.
  • Notify management of out-of-control parameters and identify suspect production.
  • Physically sample, inspect, and record results for overt attributes.
  • Place out-of-specification product on hold and release reworked product that meets quality requirements.
  • Inspect product for positive release and approve or hold as applicable.
  • Train other self-auditor candidates as assigned by management.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Good attention to detail and aesthetic sense.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Must display dependability in daily attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs and maneuver containers weighing up to 400 lbs.
  • Able to occasionally push and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and climb a ladder or steps.
  • Must meet vision requirements.
