Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team on the 2nd shift. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by performing sampling and inspection of packaged finished product for conformance to Quality specifications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitor multiple line start-up qualifications to ensure lines are set up per defined procedures and specifications.
  • Perform repetitive detailed sample collections across and throughout multiple lines/jobs and inspections as directed by appropriate personnel.
  • Communicate extensively with Machine Operators and Supervisors to ensure quality standards are met throughout the shift's operations.
  • Train line personnel on quality standards and communicate with them regarding rejects from quality pieces.
  • Notify appropriate response personnel to out-of-control parameters and identify suspect production since the last acceptable inspection.
  • Physically sample, inspect, and record results for overt attributes per various written or verbal directives.
  • Place out-of-specification product on hold and release reworked product that meets quality requirements.
  • Inspect product that requires positive release and approve or hold as applicable.
  • Train other self-auditors as assigned by management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
  • Ability to do basic mathematical calculations.
  • Good attention to aesthetic detail.
  • Good communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Must display dependability in daily attendance and punctuality, and an attitude and level of cooperation commensurate with this position.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs and maneuver containers weighing up to 400 lbs.
  • Able to occasionally push and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time as well as climb a ladder and/or steps.
  • Must meet vision requirements.

Work Hours: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
