About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Ensemble Health Partners, a leading provider of technology-enabled revenue cycle management solutions for health systems. As a Senior Patient Access Specialist, you will be responsible for performing admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign accurate medical records numbers and complete medical necessity / compliance checks
  • Provide proper patient instructions and collect insurance information
  • Receive and process physician orders and utilize a overlay tool
  • Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, out-going and inter-office calls
  • Adhere to policies and provide excellent customer service in interactions with patients and colleagues
  • Conduct audits of accounts and assure that all forms are completed accurately and timely
  • Pre-register patient accounts prior to patient visits and collect point of service collections
  • Explain general consent for treatment forms to patients and obtain necessary signatures
  • Review eligibility responses in insurance verification system and select applicable insurance plan code

Requirements:

  • Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) and or CRCR, Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (Company Paid)
  • 2-3 years of experience in patient access or leadership role
  • Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments and denials
  • Comprehensive knowledge of patient insurance process for obtaining authorizations and benefits verification
  • Knowledge of Health Insurance requirements and medical terminology or CPT or procedure codes
