Job Summary

The University of Idaho is seeking a highly skilled Business Manager II to lead the financial and administrative operations of the College of Engineering. This is a key role that requires a strong understanding of financial policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all human resource processes for the unit, including recruitment, hiring, and employee onboarding.
  • Review and approve fiscal transactions, including budget planning and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement business plans for new initiatives, including forecasting revenues and expenses.
  • Monitor and evaluate compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Supervise and train administrative and financial staff.
Requirements
  • Four years of experience providing financial processing support within an electronic finance system.
  • Using spreadsheet software to compile, summarize, analyze, and report on financial data.
  • Interpreting and applying financial stewardship policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • One year of experience supervising or delegating work to others.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven organizational skills, ability to work with a high level of accuracy, and meet required deadlines.
  • Knowledge of University of Idaho policies and procedures as they relate to financial policies and procedures.
  • Experience with financial databases, management, and reporting systems, such as Banner Finance and Argos.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary range of $80,395.20. A visa sponsorship is available for the position listed in this vacancy.
