The Department of Surgery is actively seeking a Trauma Surgeon to enhance our faculty. Candidates should be board certified or eligible in Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, with a keen interest in both Acute Care Surgery and Elective General Surgery. We particularly welcome candidates with a background in extramural translational or clinical research. Additionally, there will be prospects for engaging in elective general surgery practice. Our department is in the process of establishing a robust robotics program for both elective and urgent surgical cases, supported by all key stakeholders.

Integrated Healthcare: Tufts Medical Center is an integral part of the Tufts Medicine Health System, which encompasses over 700 affiliated physicians.

Continuing Clinical Education: We emphasize a hands-on approach to professional development, enhancing our faculty's clinical skills and expertise.

Collaboration: Our department is deeply integrated into the daily operations of the hospital, collaborating with nearly every specialty.

Key Responsibilities:

The Trauma Surgeon will play a vital role within the clinical and academic team, operating under the guidance of the department chair as an Assistant or Associate Professor.

Compensation:

Tufts Medicine provides a competitive salary that reflects academic training and practical experience. An appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine will be offered based on academic qualifications.
