As an Electrical and Systems Engineer for Rail Transit at Jacobs, you will play a crucial role in the design, testing, and implementation of rail and transit systems. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of these systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, testing, and implementation of rail and transit systems, including network systems, train control systems, communication systems, passenger information systems, and monitoring and diagnostic systems.
  • Provide engineering support for procurements for both new and overhauled rail transit vehicles.
  • Responsible for resolving design and system integration issues on transit vehicle projects.
  • Support both office and field-based activities, including technology assessments, writing specifications, evaluating vendors, design reviews, troubleshooting, and problem resolution, testing support, and failure investigations.
  • Lead the system integration team to ensure seamless coordination among clients, contractors, and system suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical/Electronic preferred) or significant industry experience.
  • Substantial post-graduate years of engineering experience in the design and/or implementation of rail/transit systems.
  • Established track record of successful project delivery for major rail/transit system or technology projects.
  • General knowledge of rolling stock and/or train control and signaling operating concept.
  • Able to interact with clients, establish relationships, and articulate complex concepts.
