About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Voyage Foods. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive food safety plan, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining a culture of quality and safety within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a full food safety plan, including HACCP, GMP, Preventive Controls, and other applicable regulations.
  • Prepare for audits and oversee quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Create a food safety culture within the organization, empowering employees to report food safety concerns and take corrective action.
  • Lead efforts to identify and implement strategies to reduce consumer complaints and faulty products.
  • Partner with R&D leadership to assist in ingredient and supplier approvals, contract manufacturer partnerships, and new product quality initiatives.
  • Supervise and develop Quality Assurance and Sanitation teams to support the production process.
  • Analyze quality, food safety, and consumer complaints to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of food safety management experience in the food industry, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of California and Federal regulations, as well as GMP, GFSI, and other related certifications.
  • Personal training in GMP, HACCP, PCQI, and FSVP is a plus.
