We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team at Roots Through Recovery, a leading trauma-focused outpatient treatment center in Long Beach, CA.
About the RoleAs a Bilingual Behavioral Health Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to our clients, who are seeking treatment for mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders. Your expertise in trauma-focused therapy, including EMDR, DBT, and CBT, will be invaluable in helping our clients overcome their challenges and achieve a healthy, productive, and fulfilling life in recovery.
Key Responsibilities- Establish Trusting Relationships: Develop open lines of communication with individuals and their family members to address co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Provide Individual and Family Therapy: Offer individual therapy and family therapy sessions to support clients in achieving their treatment goals.
- Trauma-Focused Therapy: Provide trauma-focused therapy to individuals with co-occurring disorders, using evidence-based treatment methods.
- Group Therapy: Facilitate clinically-oriented group therapy sessions for individuals with co-occurring disorders.
- Treatment Planning: Develop, implement, and review treatment plans to ensure clients receive comprehensive care.
- Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with treatment providers and resource agencies, and maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient information and treatment plans.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Education and Licensure: Master's degree or higher in counseling, social work, or a related field, and current and unrestricted associate number for marriage and family therapy (AMFT) or clinical social work (ACSW) in California.
- Experience: Previous experience working with substance use disorders, mental health therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, high level of organization, and self-motivation.
