As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing quality leadership and supervision to our members, while maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality leadership and supervision to aerobic and fitness classes
  • Maintain a safe and non-competitive environment for members
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans and choreography
  • Provide clear and concise directions to members
  • Inspect the classroom for safety and ensure compliance with YMCA policies and procedures
  • Maintain current certifications in CPR AED, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention, and New Employee Orientation

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 3-4 years of experience in a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Knowledge of basic exercise science, biomechanics principles, and fitness class leadership
  • Ability to successfully demonstrate aerobic choreography
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
