Sibylline is seeking a seasoned Events Coordinator to join our team embedded within a dynamic Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). This role requires frequent travel, both internationally and domestically, to support safety and security initiatives for client-sponsored events. In addition to event responsibilities, the Coordinator will oversee a team of Operators tasked with access control, alarm monitoring, customer service, incident management, and various other duties as required. The Coordinator ensures that all operations adhere to established policies and procedures while meeting client expectations.
Working in a 24/7 environment, the GSOC monitors a range of information systems, CCTV feeds, and alarm systems. Utilizing various tools, from access control systems to business intelligence resources, the Coordinator will collaborate with Operators to address security incidents that may affect the client's personnel, assets, and reputation.
Success in this position necessitates adaptability, a proactive approach, and a diverse set of technical and interpersonal skills. Effective time management and continuous prioritization of tasks are essential for delivering support services in this fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Duties
- Travel approximately 60% of the time, both internationally and domestically.
- Manage and balance competing priorities between event-related tasks and operational duties.
- Navigate ambiguous situations with confidence.
- Draft, review, and disseminate stakeholder and emergency notifications.
- Assess and manage incidents that disrupt business operations.
- Develop and mentor Operators through coaching, feedback, and conflict resolution.
- Oversee quality assurance for all production, support, and staffing functions in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
- Work with clients and senior management to identify process and quality enhancements.
- Represent the GSOC in incident response discussions with stakeholders.
- Facilitate training exercises and drills for continuous Operator development.
- Conduct shift briefings to relay updates, assignments, training, and compliance information.
- Provide backup support and on-call assistance as necessary.
- Analyze service statistics and prepare comprehensive reports on findings.
- Address escalated customer service issues promptly.
- Collaborate with various departments to propose and implement solutions to client challenges.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Criminology, Political Science, Business Management, Criminal Justice, Communications, Sociology, or a related field.
- Possession of a valid United States passport and the ability to maintain it.
- Capability to obtain necessary work permits and visas for event travel.
- Experience in managing or leading teams, including line management, training, or mentoring.
- Familiarity with mass communication systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in conducting research or analysis.
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment.
- A reliable team player with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a positive demeanor.
- Comfortable in a high-tech work setting and eager to learn new tools and technologies.
- Self-motivated, inquisitive, and knowledgeable about current events.
- Strong desire to grow and develop as a security and/or intelligence professional.
- Process-oriented with an understanding of the role of personnel in delivering optimal customer experiences.
- Knowledge of security systems for access control and alarm monitoring.
- Experience in Event Security, Security Project Management, or Crisis Management.
- Prior experience managing teams in corporate security, government, or military environments.
- Experience leading a team of at least five individuals.
- Initial conversation with a member of our Talent Acquisition team.
- Timed written assessment to evaluate writing and analytical capabilities.

The remuneration for this position is negotiable for the right candidate, based on qualifications, skills, and experience. The salary range for this role is between $70,000 - $90,000.
