Position Overview:

The role of the Document Scanning Specialist encompasses a range of responsibilities essential for the efficient processing of surveys and related documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • High-Volume Scanning: Operate the Fujitsu fi-6800 scanner to digitize a significant number of surveys, ensuring accuracy and quality in the output.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare materials for scanning by removing staples, smoothing creases, and repairing tears to maintain document integrity.
  • Template Compliance: Scan documents into designated templates while adhering to specific project guidelines. Memorization of various survey versions and rules is crucial.
  • Batch Tracking: Maintain logs and track scanned documents using clipboards and batch slips to ensure organized processing.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on imported batches to verify consistency and accuracy, addressing any discrepancies through re-scanning as necessary.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve scanner-related technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Mail Processing: Follow detailed instructions for checking in mail projects, which may involve multi-step processes unique to each assignment.
  • Data Entry: Accurately input data into various internal tracking systems and maintain Excel logs with specific naming conventions.
  • Client Communication: Provide updates on project counts and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Data Capture Management team to assist in the creation and delivery of survey data files.
  • Shipping and Handling: Prepare and ship completed surveys once data capture is finalized.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in warehouse operations as needed.
  • Utilize OPEX survey extraction equipment when required.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a standard office setting with appropriate lighting and ventilation.

Position Status:

This is a full-time, non-exempt role.

Compensation:

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $21 to $22.

Experience and Skills Required:

Educational Background:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
