We are currently seeking a motivated Clinical Nurse Coordinator in Cardiac Care to help us achieve our objectives.

About the Unit:

Our Cardiac Telemetry nurses are responsible for assessing acute changes in patients' conditions. They monitor heart rhythms, interpret ECGs, identify arrhythmias, and respond to emergencies. Our nurses possess advanced critical thinking skills and extensive clinical knowledge, allowing them to remain composed under pressure. Our Cardiac Telemetry unit specializes in caring for patients recovering from various cardiac procedures.

  • Two dedicated 29-bed units focused on cardiac patient care

Patient Types We Serve

  • Acute and chronic heart failure
  • Electrophysiology procedures (pacemaker, ablation)
  • Structural heart interventions (mitral clip, TAVR, TMVR, watchman, valve angioplasty)
  • Post-operative care for open heart surgery patients
  • Post-cardiac catheterization care

Responsibilities:

  • Under the guidance of the unit's director, the Clinical Nurse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all unit functions during designated shifts.
  • Collaborates with management to assess the quality of patient care services.
  • Serves as a resource for nursing staff and assists in their education.
  • Ensures the overall quality of nursing care during shifts.
  • Makes informed decisions based on established standards and collaborates with management.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
  • Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state of practice.
  • BLS and NRP certification required; ACLS preferred.
  • Encouragement of involvement in professional organizations.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience in the specialty area and leadership experience is preferred.
