Job Overview

CNC Operator

In the role of a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of machining centers. Your duties will include interpreting technical drawings and blueprints to ensure precise adjustments are made to stay within specified tolerances. You will measure finished components using precision tools such as micrometers and calipers, replace tooling as necessary, and perform offsets. Additionally, you may provide assistance with lathe operations and engage in basic manual lathe tasks when CNC machines are fully utilized or for custom projects.

Essential Skills
  • Experience with HAAS and CNC machine operation and setup
  • Proficient in using measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with manual and CAD programming
  • Background in a manufacturing or production environment
Interpersonal Skills
  • Commitment to maintaining a tidy and organized workspace
  • Compliance with company safety protocols and procedures
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to operate or learn to operate additional machinery
Work Environment

Your work schedule will involve shifts from 7 AM to 4:30 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM, with potential for overtime. You will collaborate closely with 1-2 colleagues in the lathe department while also assisting in milling and sawing tasks as required. The workplace has a small company atmosphere, yet is part of a larger organization employing approximately 30-40 individuals.
