Shift and Time: Day Shift, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Day Shift

Summary:

  • Coordinate daily operations of the fabrication department in collaboration with management.
  • Supervise, train, and develop fabrication personnel through consistent communication.
  • Operate and train others on various metal fabrication processes (e.g., bending, welding, CNC, etc.).
  • Interpret and work from shop drawings.
  • Direct best practices for metal fabrication, layout, and welded assemblies.
  • Manufacture items using welding and other assembly methods.
  • Collaborate with CAD draftsmen to enhance manufacturing cost-effectiveness.
  • Optimize shop and yard space by efficiently organizing materials.
  • Assist crews in loading and unloading job materials.
  • Safely operate mobile equipment as required.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental policies of the company.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be a qualified welder
  • Experience in supervising employees
  • General Knowledge of the construction or manufacturing industry a plus
  • Competent in basic computer skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and have good overall interpersonal skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
