Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000-$80,000, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a 401k plan with employer match, and a culture that values team members.

Job Description

The Clinical Spiritual Support Specialist provides spiritual guidance and support to patients and their families. They work in an inter-faith setting, reflecting the mission and philosophy of Suncrest Home Health & Hospice. This role requires compassion, empathy, and effective communication skills.

Requirements

  • Certificate of graduation from an accredited seminary or school of theology, or a degree in pastoral care, or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.
  • One year of chaplain experience preferred.
  • Ability to work as a contributing member of an interdisciplinary group.
  • Comfort level in an inter-faith setting.
  • Minimum of 3 units of CPE; and MDiv or Masters in Theology required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess spiritual needs of patients and families/caregivers and ensure timely services are rendered.
  • Serve as liaison and support to community chaplains and spiritual counselors.
  • Maintain accurate records of spiritual care services utilization and related activities.
  • Attend patient care conferences and interdisciplinary group meetings.
  • Provide funeral or memorial services for patients as requested.
  • Assist with supervision of spiritual care volunteers when assigned.
