Established in 2010, the company is committed to empowering individuals and transforming the beauty industry with its award-winning rotating curling irons and other groundbreaking offerings.

We are looking for a skilled and meticulous in-house Photographer to become a vital part of our creative team. The successful candidate will excel in producing high-quality visuals, overseeing the complete photography process, and collaborating closely with our design director to ensure that all visual content resonates with our brand identity.

This is a full-time, in-house position based at our Brooklyn office.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Photography & Planning:
  • Design and execute photo shoots for diverse projects, including product photography, marketing materials, and model shoots.
  • Coordinate schedules and prepare shot lists.
  • Book and manage models, freelance makeup artists, hairstylists, and props.
  • Oversee and maintain photographic equipment, including cameras, lighting, and accessories.
  1. Image Retouching & Editing:
  • Perform retouching and editing of images.
  • Ensure all images meet the company's quality standards and align with branding guidelines.
  • Create GIFs in addition to standard photographs.
  1. File Management & Asset Delivery:
  • Organize and manage all photographic files, maintaining a well-structured archive system.
  • Deliver final assets in required formats and resolutions to relevant teams, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  1. Photo Organization:
  • Systematically organize photos into appropriate folders.
  • Crop and adjust images to meet specific project requirements or design needs.
  1. Collaboration & Direction:
  • Work closely with the Design Director to comprehend and execute visual concepts and directions.
  • Accept feedback constructively to refine and enhance photographic output.
  1. Additional Responsibilities:
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in photography, design, and visual storytelling.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a professional photographer with a strong portfolio.
  • Proficiency in photo editing software, especially Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing files and assets.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to take direction and work as part of a team.
  • Creative mindset with the capability to plan and execute visually engaging shoots.
  • Familiarity with various photography styles, including product, lifestyle, and portrait photography.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • Experience in a similar role or within a creative studio environment.
  • Portfolio submission is required.
