Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist V to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our recovery team, you will provide advanced psychological and therapeutic services to patients across the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized Person-Centered Recovery Plans to help patients achieve stability and maintain recovery after discharge.
  • Conduct diagnostic interviews and recommend treatment plans to the patient's recovery team.
  • Lead specialized psychoeducational groups to help patients gain knowledge and develop skills to aid in their recovery.
  • Collaborate with staff to implement behavior plans and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality enhancement activities related to psychological service provision.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Psychology or related field.
  • Knowledge of psychology and related disciplines, including treatment techniques and practices.
  • Skills in interviewing and conducting diagnostic interviews.
  • Ability to conduct individual, group, and family psychotherapy.
  • Ability to plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others.
