About the Role

Prestige Medical Care is seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Assist with direct patient care, including procedures, treatments, and medical orders.
  • Registration and Scheduling: Perform registration and scheduling activities, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate medical records.
  • EMR Management: Maintain electronic medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Front Office Functions: Perform general front office duties, including answering phones and responding to patient inquiries.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Current certification in medical assisting required from a recognized organization, such as the America Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) or the American Medical Technologists (RMA).
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from a Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish or other languages preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA regulations; ICD-10 and CPT coding; and standard laboratory, x-ray, and medical procedures.
