Job Summary

Pima Medical Institute is seeking a highly qualified Respiratory Therapy Clinical Director to lead our clinical education program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing the clinical education of our students, ensuring they receive high-quality training in patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of clinical instructors and provide guidance on teaching practices.
  • Secure new clinical sites and negotiate contractual agreements.
  • Visit clinical facilities, provide counseling, and ensure students receive technical instruction from instructors.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to establish student clinical assignments and develop clinical objectives.
  • Monitor student competency evaluations and review clinical records.
  • Instruct students in classroom theory and learning laboratory settings.
  • Coordinate clinical education for the Respiratory Therapy program, including faculty schedules and clinical education plans.
  • Maintain student grades and prepare final grades at the end of each semester.
  • Collaborate with public and community respiratory care agencies.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited academic institution.
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) State license.
  • Four years of experience as a registered respiratory therapist, including two years in clinical respiratory care.
  • Two years of instructor experience in an accredited respiratory therapy program.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, as well as knowledge of computer skills.
