Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy, encompassing both basic and acute care needs, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
  • Assess respiratory status, utilizing data from observation and clinical analysis, to determine the effectiveness of administered therapy.
  • Collaborate with physicians to provide recommendations for therapy adjustments.
  • Participate in trauma and code calls, administering routine, complex, and emergent respiratory care as needed.
  • Transport and monitor patients in specialty areas, such as CT scans and bronchoscopies.
  • Assist with endotracheal intubation, extubation, tracheal lavage, and tracheotomy care.
  • Develop plans for weaning patients from mechanical ventilation and monitor patients using oximetry, electrocardiology, and apnea monitoring devices.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
  • Full and unrestricted license in any state or US territory.
  • Credentials with the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • BLS/ACLS certification.
  • NPI registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years current experience in respiratory therapy, with recent experience in a hospital setting.
