Job Overview

Melink Solar LLC is seeking a skilled Project Controller to oversee financial management and control activities across our expanding portfolio of solar installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor project financial performance and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Report on project budget to actual for revenues, expenses, including equipment, materials, and labor costs.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements and cash flow projections.
  • Assist in contract management and review financial terms to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate with procurement and accounting departments to ensure timely payment and invoicing.
  • Support project teams in financial decision-making by providing accurate and timely financial information.
  • Maintain project documentation and financial records in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide insights on financial implications of project decisions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Project Controller or similar role in the construction or renewable energy industry, with specific experience in solar projects preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence, manage complex projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and strong organizational and administrative ability.
  • Ability to work as a team member and function independently with minimal supervision.
  • Be able to write up detailed work instructions and maintain a Job Reference Manual for all areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Four to six years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in ERP systems (Sage Intacct is a plus).
  • Experienced dealing with construction subcontracts and subcontractors.
  • Superior knowledge and skills in MS Excel, MS Word and Smartsheet.
