Occupational Therapist Opportunity at JAG Physical Therapy

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at JAG Physical Therapy. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing patients' strengths and weaknesses to develop effective treatment plans aimed at improving their functional independence.


The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of Hand Therapy screens/evaluations, treatments, and orthosis fabrication. They will be responsible for daily evaluations, progress assessments, and collaborative care with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.


About the Role:
  • You will work as part of a dynamic team to provide top-notch patient care, focusing on hand therapy and rehabilitation services.
  • Your key responsibilities will include collecting and recording patient care data, preparing for evaluations, administering tests and measures, and synthesizing evaluation results to formulate diagnoses and plans of care.
  • You will also establish treatment plans based on evaluation results, goals, and best practices, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and assess and reassess the need for modifications to plans of care and goals.
  • In addition, you will identify the need for consultations and referrals, initiate and complete discharge plans, and provide education and training to patients and support systems.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree required; Doctorate degree preferred.
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with valid CPR license.
  • Completed state-regulated CEU requirements in appropriate states (NY, NJ).
  • Experience/knowledge with EMR software is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong clinical decision-making abilities, and excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work as a team member and individually with minimal supervision.
