Job Description and Duties

Under the general supervision of the Staff Services Manager I (SSMI), the Office Technician provides a variety of duties that require adapting to various situations and using judgment regarding work methods. The Office Technician performs technical and less difficult analytical tasks related to the investigation and/or resolution of tickets/claims, both Scratchers and Draw games, that may compromise the security, honesty, or integrity of the Lottery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical and analytical tasks related to ticket/claim investigation and resolution.
  • Adapt to various situations and use judgment regarding work methods.
  • Work under general supervision of the Staff Services Manager I (SSMI).
Working Conditions

The Office Technician works in a fast-paced office environment with a variety of duties and responsibilities. The position requires a current Office Technician (Typing) exam and a valid typing certificate confirming the ability to meet the minimum typing speed. The position is headquartered at the Sacramento Headquarters Office and is not eligible for telework.

Requirements

To be eligible for this position, applicants must have a current Office Technician (Typing) exam and a valid typing certificate confirming the ability to meet the minimum typing speed. Applicants must also be able to pass a background investigation and provide transcripts and/or diploma if basing eligibility on education.
