Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage transportation planning projects, including researching, analyzing, and interpreting data to inform project recommendations.
  • Conduct needs assessments, surveys, and special studies to gather pertinent information and develop project procedures and schedules.
  • Present project recommendations to management and/or committees and boards.
  • Collaborate with consultants and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Transportation Planning, Urban/Regional Planning, Geography, Public Administration, Engineering, Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), Sociology, or a related field. You will also need at least two years of experience in transportation planning and/or project management, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires a valid Florida Driver's license and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to lift up to 20 pounds, stand for up to 3 hours, and sit for up to 5 hours in an 8-hour day.

Please note that the selected candidate will be employed by the SCTPO, not Brevard County Board of County Commissioners.
