Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Companion Care Specialist to provide exceptional care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Companionship and Social Interaction: Engage clients in meaningful conversations, activities, and hobbies to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Daily Living Assistance: Assist clients with daily routines, including dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene, as well as meal preparation and serving.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, laundry, and dishwashing, to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
  • Transportation and Errands: Provide transportation to appointments, social events, and shopping, as well as assist with running errands, such as grocery shopping and picking up prescriptions.
  • Health and Well-being Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in the client's physical or mental health to family members or healthcare professionals, and ensure clients take their medications as prescribed.
  • Social Engagement and Support: Encourage participation in social activities and community events, and facilitate communication with family and friends through phone calls, video chats, or in-person visits.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with previous experience in a caregiving role preferred but not required.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature, as well as the ability to perform light physical tasks and assist with mobility.
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification (preferred but may be required after hiring), and a valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if the role involves driving).
  • Other Requirements: Ability to pass a background check, and a flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
