Century Engineering, a Kleinfelder Company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our environmental services group, you will be responsible for overseeing field teams and natural resource surveys, technical writing, permitting, and regulatory compliance activities for a variety of clients in the energy, transportation, and commercial markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead field teams and natural resource surveys to identify and assess environmental resources
  • Prepare and submit environmental permits, including USACE nationwide and Individual permits
  • Develop wetland mitigation designs, monitoring documents, and post-construction monitoring reports
  • Calculate impacts and losses to Waters of the US
  • Delineate environmental resources and prepare delineation reports

Requirements:

  • BS in an Environmental, Biological or Ecological Science, or Environmental Policy
  • Experience preparing and submitting environmental permits
  • Experience with wetland mitigation designs and monitoring reports
  • Experience calculating impacts and losses to Waters of the US
  • Experience with delineating environmental resources

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PWS Certification
  • Masters Degree or higher in a relevant field of study
  • Experience with Delaware Wetlands & Subaqueous Lands section permitting
  • Experience with preparing water quality certifications and coastal zone consistency documents
  • Experience with Section 408 permitting
  • Experience with endangered species surveys
