Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Washington Hospital plays a crucial role in assisting professional staff in preparing, performing, and scanning patient sonograms. This position requires meeting and maintaining established medical and Cardiology protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing patient sonograms, ensuring accurate and efficient scanning procedures.
- Collaborate with professional staff to meet and maintain established medical and Cardiology protocols.
- Perform and scan patient sonograms, utilizing advanced medical imaging equipment.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with hospital standards.
Requirements:
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS); or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); or Registered Sonographer from Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals (CARDUP).
- Ability to work varied shifts, including day shifts and on-call rotations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to medical imaging equipment and patient data.
- May be required to work in a variety of settings, including patient examination rooms and medical imaging suites.
