Role Responsibilities

The Chief Financial Officer will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of our dynamic organization. This leadership position requires a seasoned professional with a successful track record in healthcare finance, particularly within a complex, multi-faceted environment. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership team to ensure Element Care thrives in an evolving economic landscape.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the organization's mission.
  • Managing fiscal policies and procedures to ensure compliance and financial integrity.
  • Leading a team of 32 professionals across various financial functions, including Accounting, Claims Processing, and Compliance.
  • Providing financial insights and guidance to the Executive Leadership team and Board of Directors.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 10 years of executive leadership experience in healthcare finance, ideally in the non-profit sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Experience with both provider and payer sides of healthcare is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) is a significant plus.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems is essential.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, innovative financial leader with exceptional communication skills and a strong grasp of financial principles. This individual will be instrumental in shaping the financial future of Element Care, providing strategic direction and expert advice to the Executive Leadership team.

This position will initially require onsite presence, with potential for a hybrid work model in the future.
