Staff Accountant Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to join our team at Jobot. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in managing our financial processes, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable, and the preparation of financial statements.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly journal entries.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Analyze financial data and create reports for management.
  • Assist with internal and external auditing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal processes and financial regulations.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Proficiency in general ledger accounting and the management of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements and conducting financial analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and use advanced functions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and other accounting best practices.
  • CPA certification or progress towards certification is highly desirable.
