Job Overview

We are collaborating with a reputable organization that specializes in the design and manufacturing of Advanced Composite structures, recognized for its AS9100 certification. The company is seeking a skilled Composite Mold Supervisor to oversee their operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of hourly employees engaged in composite manufacturing processes across one or more facilities. Take initiative in areas beyond direct supervision, including Project Management, Supply Chain, and Engineering.
  • Ensure the Composites Shop is adequately staffed to meet production schedules and cycle time requirements. Prioritize and manage workflows to facilitate timely and efficient task completion.
  • Oversee short to medium-term planning, including area setup, equipment capacity, material flow, and employee staffing to align with customer demands.
  • Maintain all equipment, materials, tools, and processes, ensuring adherence to production standards.
  • Direct project activities and provide coaching and mentorship to employees in the fabrication of parts using fiberglass, resin, and carbon fiber through various lamination techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and ASME standards, taking necessary actions to meet all requirements.
  • Review work for technical accuracy, ensuring it meets customer specifications and engineering design expectations as outlined in shop orders and quality documentation.
  • Promote safety and environmental compliance within the workplace.
  • Assess and verify employee performance through evaluations of completed assignments and leadership capabilities.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following:

  • A High School Diploma; an Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Experience in composites production or a custom manufacturing setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of composites fabrication processes.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in PC applications.
