About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician to join our team at Penske Truck Leasing. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
  • Work with a team to ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and meet safety standards
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and techniques in the industry
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure seamless service
Requirements
  • 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
  • Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and outside
  • Basic computer skills
