Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

At Ryder, we are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and diagnostic repairs
  • Repair and maintain diesel engines, including advanced skilled level repairs
  • Inspect and test vehicles to identify cause of complaints and ensure quality of repair work
  • Coordinate work schedule with customers and ensure timely completion of repairs
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including PMs, brake checks, and tire inspections
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred
  • Three years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
