At Bristol Myers Squibb, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Flow Cytometry Laboratory Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in running flow cytometry experiments, analyzing data, and performing clinical biomarker studies that help develop new medicines.

The Clinical Flow Cytometry laboratory is a dynamic and innovative team that utilizes state-of-the-art specialized flow cytometers and supporting systems to develop, optimize, validate, and execute flow cytometry assays in support of new drug programs. As an intern, you will work closely with senior members of the team to develop and validate new assays, analyze data, and optimize flow cytometers.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong enthusiasm for science, excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to work in a highly matrixed team. You will also need to have some basic lab skills from college course science labs or research labs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Running flow cytometry experiments in aid of assay development and validation
  • Analysis and visualization of high-dimensional flow cytometry data generated in the lab
  • Daily optimization and routine maintenance of flow cytometers
  • Accurate record keeping of experiments and procedures
  • Interacting with team members to understand the needs of individual assays

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current undergraduates who are entering the junior/senior year with majors in biological sciences or related field
  • Strong enthusiasm and interest in science
  • Some basic lab skills from college course science labs or research labs
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed team
  • Excellent fundamental skills such as communications, analytical and critical thinking
