Job Summary:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly qualified Pediatric Hospital Medicine Physician to join our team at the Children's Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) at Virginia Commonwealth University. As an academic faculty member, you will play a vital role in providing direct pediatric patient care, enhancing clinical education, and promoting patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide teaching and mentorship to medical students, residents, and fellows
Serve on hospital or departmental committees as needed
Provide clinical service as a Pediatric Hospitalist for the Department of Pediatrics of CHoR
Engage in administrative duties, including resource coordination and collaboration with pediatric nursing, specialists, and ancillary staff

Requirements:

Board certification in pediatrics or internal medicine-pediatrics
Eligibility for medical licensure in Virginia
Drug Enforcement Agency licensure
Credentialing at VCUH
Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Demonstrated experience working in a diverse environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Two or more years of clinical experience in pediatric hospital medicine
Completion of Pediatric Fellowship training
Tracking toward Board Eligibility/Board Certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine
Prior leadership experience or program development in pediatric hospital medicine
Prior quality improvement initiative development
