The Stanford Graduate School of Education invites applications for a faculty position focused on the political dynamics, governance, and economic aspects of education.
We are in search of a scholar who can provide both empirical and theoretical perspectives on the political dimensions of education, including educational policy formulation, governance structures, and the economic implications of educational practices. Preference will be given to candidates whose research actively engages with policymakers or directly impacts educational policy.
The successful candidate will become part of a vibrant research community that examines educational issues through diverse disciplinary lenses.
Responsibilities include teaching courses and mentoring students in their areas of specialization.

- Three scholarly publications or well-developed papers
For candidates applying for Assistant Professor positions, please include three references with contact information. Letters will be requested at a later stage.
For Associate and Full Professor candidates, please provide three references; letters of recommendation will be requested only for shortlisted candidates.
A Ph.D. or Ed.D. or enrollment in a Ph.D./Ed.D. program with expected completion by the appointment date for Assistant Professor is required.

Compensation Range:
Professor:
$210,000 - $280,000
Associate Professor:
$160,000 - $189,000
Assistant Professor:
$140,000 - $153,000
Stanford University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The compensation offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on various factors including experience, qualifications, departmental budget, internal equity, and external market pay for similar roles.
