Key Responsibilities- Prescription Verification: Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and clinical appropriateness.
- Patient Counseling: Provide counseling and drug-related information to patients, as needed, to ensure they understand their medications and treatment plans.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with provider offices, pharmacies, and insurers to fulfill prescription orders and ensure seamless patient care.
- Medication Dispensing: Dispense medications in accordance with established rules and regulations, as well as policies and procedures.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory and supplies for the pharmacy, receiving and checking inventory for accuracy.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, required.
- Licensure: Current license to practice as a Pharmacist in New York State, required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
- Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
The salary range for this position is $105,400-$183,000/year. Northwell Health is an equal employment opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
