Job Title: Mental Health Specialist 1 Behavior Tech DSP

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated professionals to join our team as Mental Health Specialists. Our ideal candidate will have a strong passion for supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on assistance and guidance to individuals in their daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
  • Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
  • Build relationships with persons served and teammates, promoting a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Attend community occasions and participate in fun activities, such as outdoor walks, games, and social events.
  • Work on tailored outcomes for individuals and collaborate with behavioral guidance plans as needed.
  • Transport persons served to appointments or other activities outside the home.
Requirements:
  • 18 years or older to work in residential adult programs and at least 21 years or older to work in child foster care homes.
  • Minimum of one year experience working with persons with challenging physical and/or verbal aggressions and/or property destruction and/or self-injurious behaviors.
  • Prefer experience working with persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • Experience working with Mental Health/Illness is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and current auto liability insurance.
  • Computer skills for documentation and ability to perform personal cares.
