We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team at JPW Industries.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving new product development (NPD) projects, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to design, research, and prototype innovative solutions that meet customer needs and enhance product performance.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead NPD projects at our manufacturing plant, serving as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing to design, develop, test prototypes, oversee manufacture, and implement new products.
  • Design machines and components using various manufacturing processes such as castings, plastic injection molding, forgings, and sheet metal stampings. Utilize CAD software to develop models and drawings of new products and manufacturing methods.
  • Develop, test, and assess engineering prototypes, analyzing data, interpreting results, and addressing issues or risks to ensure optimal product performance.
  • Evaluate final product performance, reliability, and safety to meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams and external suppliers to achieve project goals, develop part/product specifications, and ensure manufacturability.
  • Provide engineering and product support for existing products, optimizing manufacturing processes and addressing technical challenges.
  • Schedule, facilitate, and document project meetings, coordinating with engineers, product managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Develop detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflows as required to support manufacturing and production activities.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, required.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, SolidWorks preferred. Thorough understanding of Geometric Tolerancing and Tolerance Analysis.
  • Minimum seven years' experience in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, with hands-on experience in computer-aided engineering (CAM) and 2D/3D engineering design tools.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office applications, with advanced Excel skills. Strong technical writing and communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong, decisive leadership style with the ability to make timely decisions and take accountability. Demonstrated adaptability to evolving environments and willingness to embrace new responsibilities as the business evolves.
