Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care in the Progressive Care Unit. This dynamic professional will collaborate with the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care, serving as a resource person for staff and modeling a commitment to the organization's vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care services to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A nursing graduate with an RN diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing.
  • At least one year of experience as an RN with demonstrated proficiency in leadership and management skills.
  • A preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Two years of experience as an RN in a Charge Nurse role.
  • Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state where you practice.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 60 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
