Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Corporate Accounting Manager to spearhead our dynamic Accounting team. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities related to General Ledger accounting, including but not limited to accruals, operating expenses, and prepaid accounts. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong leadership qualities while effectively managing multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the month-end closing process for prepaid and accrual accounts in major operating expenses, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage the account reconciliation process, including the review and approval of reconciliations.
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly PL/BS fluctuations, providing insights into the financial statement movements.
  • Support SOX compliance and external auditors' requests for information.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at process improvement and implement best practices across the accounting function.
  • Drive system transformation projects to enhance the efficiency of the month-end closing process.
  • Exhibit strong leadership, energy, and creativity while guiding significant initiatives and developing team members.
  • Mentor and coach team members to elevate overall team performance and efficiency.
  • Review workpapers of direct reports to support the month-end close and reporting activities.
  • Provide constructive feedback to enhance the quality of documentation produced by the team.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in public accounting and corporate finance, with at least 2 years in a public accounting firm, preferably a Big 4.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation is preferred.
  • Proven experience in establishing and standardizing SOX-compliant policies and procedures.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
  • Experience with system implementations is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated expertise in process improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in technical accounting matters and extensive knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Experience in team development and mentoring.
  • Familiarity with Oracle is a plus.
  • Proficient in financial software and systems to enhance the efficiency of the accounting close process.
