Position Overview:
The Operating Room Nurse Manager will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and oversee the Operating Room, Procedure Rooms, Preoperative Assessment Testing (PAT), Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Sterile Processing Department (SPD), and OR Scheduling. This role encompasses all surgical specialties, excluding cardiac and ophthalmic surgeries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage approximately 4,000 surgical cases annually
- Develop and implement guidelines for timely surgical starts and turnover
- Create physician scorecards to enhance performance
- Foster improved engagement among staff and physicians
- Plan for future operational needs, including the addition of another surgical suite
