Surgical Care Specialist

At United Surgical Partners, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Surgical Care Specialist to join our team.
This role is a unique opportunity to provide remote patient care with a focus on decision-making and collaboration with healthcare teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing competent, safe, and compassionate care based on established NYUHC Patient Care and Nursing Standards and program policies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing a comprehensive patient-centered plan of care to achieve expected outcomes
- Reviewing physicians' messages received from patients through the electronic medical record
- Participating in regular debrief meetings with local sites to identify issues or opportunities for improvement
- Documenting provider and patient interactions accurately and in a timely manner using electronic medical record systems
- Providing telephonic patient education regarding results and understanding condition management
- Communicating effectively with local site staff or providers via telephone or electronic message
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and 3-5 years of clinical experience, preferably in an ambulatory office setting or emergency department.
Preferred qualifications include bilingual skills in Spanish or Russian/Greek and telephonic care management experience.
