Senior Occupational Therapist Langone Orthopedic Center

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Langone Orthopedic Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating occupational therapy needs and implementing comprehensive medically prescribed occupational therapy programs for assigned patients. This role requires a strong understanding of various treatment approaches and the ability to work effectively in a supervisory capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluates occupational therapy needs and develops comprehensive treatment plans for patients
Implements medically prescribed occupational therapy programs for assigned patients
Demonstrates a variety of treatment approaches and adapts to individual patient needs
Assists in organizing unit activities and implementing clinical teaching sessions for staff and students
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy and a New York State Occupational Therapy License or temporary permit. A minimum of two years of experience as an Occupational Therapist is also required. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this position, as well as BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association. A clinical Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred.
