PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Notify the Quality Control Manager regarding any discrepancies in products, equipment, or testing outcomes.
- Ensure accurate documentation is maintained in compliance with PCI & Precast standards.
- Possess the ability to read, comprehend, and interpret technical drawings and specifications, accurately measure using tools, and confirm that the final product meets project specifications.
- Utilize a diverse range of instruments, including but not limited to laboratory ovens, scales, slump cones, air meters, thermometers, tape measures, sieves, and hydrometers.
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Exhibit strong mathematical skills.
- Show a collaborative attitude by working effectively with colleagues, supervisors, clients, and suppliers.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
- Thrive in a fast-paced work setting.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Preferred certifications include ACI or PCI.
- Familiarity with a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Regularly required to stand, twist, walk, and utilize various hand tools; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance on elevated surfaces; and bend, kneel, squat, or crawl.
- The work environment is typically loud, and the employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds frequently.
- This position requires continuous medium to heavy physical labor.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety boots, hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, respirators (if necessary), and hearing protection.
- This role involves both indoor and outdoor work, with exposure to various weather conditions including sun, heat, humidity, cold, wind, light rain, sand, and dust.
- Work is conducted in proximity to moving construction vehicles and machinery, including forklifts, cranes, and concrete mixers.
