Job Title: Senior Counsel - Government Contracts Job Summary: Broadcom Corporation is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Counsel to join our Public Sector team. As a Senior Counsel, you will play a critical role in negotiating, drafting, and closing sales contracts with government customers, managing government contracts compliance matters, and contributing to initiatives for improving internal contracting processes. Key Responsibilities: * Negotiate and manage software, SaaS, and IT services transactions from cradle to grave * Handle administration of US public sector contracts * Cover a number of customer segments in an individual contributor role as the primary legal support for contracting matters * Supervise and direct outside counsel as needed * Contribute actively to the Broadcom Legal team in the ongoing development of knowledge, skills, and processes Requirements: * Excellent at negotiating and closing complex software licensing and SaaS transactions with government customers * Experience supporting relationships and contracts with distributors and resellers for government sales * Substantive expertise in government contracts and intellectual property law, and knowledge of state and federal contracting processes * Experience assessing and advising clients on the initial stages of disputes, particularly breach of contract claims with customers * Experience performing contractual research to maintain compliance with applicable government regulations * Enjoys learning about cutting-edge technology and products * Demonstrated ability to find creative solutions to challenges and new and simpler ways to get things done * Ability to make sound and independent judgments, and make recommendations on a wide variety of contract matters * Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with a broad audience including engineering, marketing, sales, and finance professionals * Ability to lead cross-functionally in a matrix environment, obtain buy-in and drive cross-functional processes * Ability to multitask, prioritize workload and competing priorities * Demonstrates strong attention to detail * Ability to provide high-quality product in a timely manner * Efficient, effective, and well-organized * Customer service-oriented * Willingness to travel within the U.S. as needed * Security Clearance preferred * Law degree from an accredited law school and active, good standing membership in at least one U.S. State bar Additional Traits/Qualifications: * Must be business-minded and ready to roll up sleeves and do what is necessary to get the job done well * Works effectively within all levels of an organization * Impeccable academic and professional credentials * Years of relevant professional legal experience Compensation and Benefits: The annual base salary range for this position is $155,000 - $273,000. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
