The Opportunity

We are in search of a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to become part of a dynamic and driven team, focused on developing a cutting-edge creativity platform that will shape the future of Creative Cloud and Adobe's Digital Media sector. Your Responsibilities:

As a member of the Developer Experience team, your role will be pivotal in enhancing the efficiency and scalability of our development team by providing user-friendly development environments, robust infrastructure, and collaborating with peers and product managers to deliver a seamless developer experience on a multi-tenant web application platform. These systems are designed to be highly reliable, efficient, and continuously responsive to critical development needs while ensuring that all commits adhere to stringent check-in protocols and deployment standards.

You will collaborate with some of the most talented designers and engineers to integrate with third-party content partners and expand existing Adobe ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing and implementing a dependable Continuous Delivery Pipeline for the development, building, testing, and deployment of desktop, mobile, and service offerings.
  • Maintaining and supporting internal cloud-based automation systems, including infrastructure and environment, build and test tools, automation orchestration, reports, and dashboards.
  • Gathering, refining, and prioritizing requirements from the engineering team.
  • Collaborating closely with engineering team members to incorporate automation tools into daily workflows.
  • Creating tools, dashboards, and related infrastructure to enhance the development experience for our engineers.
  • Working effectively both independently and as part of a fast-paced global development team, ensuring clear, positive, and constructive communication.
  • Promoting the growth of a DevOps culture and mindset within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Location: Candidates should be based in relevant tech hubs.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years in build and release infrastructure.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in developing software across multiple devices and platforms.
  • Automation Knowledge: Familiarity with automated building and testing processes for desktop, service, and web-delivered software.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • System Administration: Experience managing Linux, Mac, and Windows systems.
  • CI/CD Expertise: Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis CI, and GitHub Actions. Knowledge of container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Bazel is a plus.
  • Developer Productivity Tools: Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, and VS Code extensions or plugins.
  • Automation Technologies: Proficiency in relevant technologies including TypeScript/Node, Python, Groovy, Bash, Webpack, RushJS, npm, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with AWS and Azure.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile development processes, including Scrum.
