Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-time Custodian to join our team at the University of North Texas System. As a Custodian, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our residence halls, dining areas, and other auxiliary buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize all areas of assigned buildings, including sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors.
  • Remove trash and other waste from buildings on a scheduled basis.
  • Follow all standards and guidelines provided by supervisory leadership and complete tasks within assigned time frames.
  • Communicate with custodial supervisors daily to ensure seamless operations.
  • Report any maintenance needs, safety concerns, or other issues to supervisory leadership.
Requirements
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to read and understand labels on chemicals.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts to complete tasks.
  • Sufficient knowledge of cleaning methods and the proper use of cleaning equipment.
  • Physical ability to perform work involving standing, stooping, operating cleaning equipment, and lifting of materials and equipment.
Working Conditions

This is a security-sensitive position. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
