Job Title: Residential Instructor

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive living environment for our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and behavioral interventions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Monitor and report any changes in client behavior, medical, or physical status to the supervisor and program manager.
  • Assist with meal preparation, laundry, and household chores.
  • Participate in mandatory training and in-service programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Supervise family visitation and accompany clients on community-based outings.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or program manager.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Valid CT driver's license and good driving record.
  • Physical Management Training (PMT), First Aid, CPR, and Medication Certification.
  • Ability to work varying schedules, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health or developmental disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compensation:

$17.00 per hour.

Varying schedules are available, including full-time and part-time positions.
