Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit at WVU Medicine. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of West Virginia or eligibility for licensure.
  • One year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a progressive care setting.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specialty certification in progressive care nursing.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology.
