Metallurgist Co-Op Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Metallurgist Co-Op to join our team at Precision Castparts Corp. in Toronto, Ohio.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Metallurgy department in projects and tasks to achieve departmental goals and responsibilities.
- Provide technical support, including technical writing, for manufacturing as needed.
- Review process routings and compare temperatures, times, and routes to customers' Fixed Practice Agreement.
- Identify trends and plot using Excel or Minitab to analyze First Time Pass and Lab failures.
- Verify Standard Operating Procedures are in compliance with the AS9100 Rev. D standard and meet regulatory standards.
- Assist in Customer Complaint investigations and provide assistance for the Toronto Lab Production/Operational needs.
- Perform Scanning Electron Microscope analysis, etching Titanium samples, cutting Titanium samples, and analyzing & reviewing samples.
- Enrolled and completed 2+ years at an accredited university in a Metallurgy and/or Material Science discipline.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to company values.
- Computer proficiency in Windows environment and software tools that support job responsibilities.
- Paid internship with housing stipend.
